Wiltshire - Bangs and PrangsAs in every military expedition, logistic support provides the foundation from which to sustain and advance. SC95 were regularly on the road, usually courtesy of one of London(er)'s more prominent coach companies. Alas, luxury coaches are not de rigeur when visiting our khaki-clad colleagues in their favoured environment - out on the "ground" (pronounced grind). Those brave enough to take a 50-seater onto the plains of Wiltshire soon count the cost - the picture below shows a bust radiator. The logistics officer with his back to the camera is not really extracting the urine, but simply pointing at the wee-k spot. The smiling Tourist next to him is just posing for the camera!
Of course, it wasn't all about luxury coaches. A day's shooting in the wilds of Battlesbury was the kind of experience that could leave any intellect a smouldering wreck. The unerring precision of unopposed firing, there for all to see; but this was only a demonstration! Good job they didn't expect us to pull the trigger - Johnny-the-Dog couldn't have got his arthritic digits through the little hole!
